Some time between the premiere of "The Blind Bandit" and "The Serpent's Pass":

Mike : What have we done, Bryan? Now that the Zutarians have watched "The Swamp" and "The Blind Bandit", now we got another ship to worry about. They're pairing up Toph with Aang.

Bryan : Owwwhhh, now that's double the threat to Kataang. I begin to regret about making Toph a girl. We can't let Taang to threaten Kataang. But we can't just kill her off. We got to think of a way to stop Taang from growing. But how?

Unknown Crew : (In "mysterious stranger" tone) I know how you two can stop Taang from growing.

Mike & Bryan : You do? How?

Unknown Crew : You gotta pair "her" up with "him".

Bryan : Dude, we don't speak Cryptic. Can you rephrase it in layman's terms, please?

Unknown Crew : You gotta pair up Toph with Sokka. That way she'll develop feelings for Sokka instead of Aang. (Bright tone) Besides, look at some of these Toph/Sokka fan stuff. Aren't they cute? (Assuming shippers started experimenting with Tokka just after "The Blind Bandit")

Mike : That's it! But wait. We can't just make Sokka to fall for Toph just like that. It's not like his encounter with Suki.

Bryan: Mike, Sokka doesn't need to fall first. How about we make Toph to fall for him? That can also make a good soft spot for her.

Mike : So, how do we do that?

Bryan : It goes like this. (Whispers to Mike)

Mike : Yeah, that's a great idea. Well, let's put that in the draft for "The Serpent's Pass". Thanks, <insert Unknown Crew's name>.


During "The Serpent's Pass":

Toph : (Drowning) Help! I can't swim!

Sokka : I'm coming, Toph! (But Suki jumps in instead.)

Toph : (After Suki rescues her from drowning) (Mushily) Oh Sokka. You saved me. (Kisses "Sokka" on the cheek)

Avatards A (Roman Alphabet), Beta (Greek Alphabet), Cresh (Aurebesh aka Star Wars Alphabet), and Doht (Daedric Alphabet), all gasp deeply and SQUEEEEEEEE'D their lungs out as if they were in a James Blunt concert. (Ganxingba's The Angst reference, as said by Jew!Iroh. Yeah, Jew!Iroh kicks ass!)

A : Avatards rejoice! A new ship sets sail today!

Beta : (Pirate impersonation) So what shall we be naming the ship thar, cap'n?

Cresh : I know. Let's call it Tokka! (Assuming Avatar fans knew nothing about a mutant snapping turtle of the same name from Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles II at that time. And no, THAT turtle's NOT cute, unlike the TophXSokka ship, as some of its shippers might say.)

Doht : I was thinking of Soph, but that's a better one! Let's set Tokka sailing!


Meanwhile, in the Avatar production office:

Bryan : Check it out, Mike. The Tokka fan stuff count is rivaling Taang's. We did it, Mike. Soon Tokka will outfame Taang, and I don't mind if it's just barely. Hooray for Tokka!

Mike : Yeah. with Suki not with Sokka, we can leave some hints of Tokka here and there. We may even have a bigger fanbase. This is one of our best ideas ever!

Mike & Bryan : OHOHOHOHOHOHOHOHOHOHOHOHOHO!!!!! (WTH?!)

Mike : Wait. What was that guy's name again? (Explaining why he can't remember the crew who came up with Tokka)
